ADRA exists to enable people to live life to the full, physically, socially and spiritually.ADRA’s programmes aim to address equitable development for women, girls and minorities, whilst aiming to ensure protection for the most vulnerable. The threat that natural and man-made disasters bring to well-being is a focus of ADRA’s humanitarian work, but also crosses over into the development sphere in the form of disaster risk reduction, resilience and climate change adaptation.
We mentor prisoners who are due to be released from HMP Wandsworth. We match them with a volunteer who gets to know them in prison, meets them at the gate and supports them as they resettle back into society. The aims of the charity are to encourage men to become crime-free, to support them to break the cycle of re-offending and to make communities safer.
